Manchester Trip ’17

Best wishes to all for the festive season!

I am in Manchester, England visiting my dad. It’s very cold with a tiny bit of snow. Eating & drinking too much, and getting  some reading in.

Here are some recent purchases:

And this is a present from my brother:)

Very excited about the two Leigh Brackett paperbacks! Also delighted to find The Innkeeper’s Song in hardback.

Ack-Ack Macaque sounds totally bonkers in a good way.

Which book would you read next?

  1. I see you took some of my recommendations. Hope you enjoy them. I am currently working my way through Beagle’s “The Under Neath”. Thanks for alerting me to it.

    Wish you a Happy 2018.

    • I read her story ‘Black Amazon of Mars’ online, and loved it. So I’m looking forward to reading the first two Books of Skaith. Also been meaning to get a copy of ‘The Long Tomorrow’, her 1955 tale of a post nuclear war America. But you know how it is, so many books, so little time.
      Thanks for commenting!
