I wanted to post a quick update on this blog’s status. I will continue posting book and comic reviews on here. There will be fewer posts but they will continue. 😀 If my reading life picks up again, then the number of reviews will hopefully increase, too.
I am making a new WordPress site which will just be about my YouTube channel. I want to keep those posts separate from this site, so that readers know what they can find here: “subjective reviews of books, comics and more”.
On the new site, I will be posting the videos I upload onto YouTube, as well as writing about the “trials and tribble-ations” of making and editing these videos. If you are interested, here is the link to the new site:

It will be interesting to start a blog site from scratch again. I had a frustrating time trying to get it up and running thanks to WordPress’s–ahem–“much celebrated” new Block Editor. So much has changed that I initially couldn’t find the “widgets”, specifically the “Follow Button” widget or the “Search Bar” option; *!@=^&%$🤬 (Insert relevant swear word here!) Don’t let me open up that can of worms! *(Thanks for the heads-up Bart!)

Good luck. I am used to the new block editor but I only do my certain bits and bobs with it. I couldn’t imagine trying something new with it. It’s really ridiculous!

Just so long as you realize that at some point the classic editor will disappear. Unless it makes a big comeback, WP will stop supporting it at some point 😦

Yeah, I know. I kind of got used to it for doing posts, but creating a new site was infuriating at times. Very tricky to use. ☹

it took me a solid month of deliberately using the editor and faffing around to get used to it. So be prepared for learning how to blog all over again if you do end up using it 😦

Btw I always start with inserting the classic editor block. And then proceed just as usual. No blocks for me!

That’s great! Will be sure to check out the new site and your YouTube as well. I’ve had a YouTube channel for my blog for a while now and its a nice interactive part of the my blog. Have fun with it. I know what you mean about the block editor, I’ve got used to it a bit more now, but was a headache to begin with

Hi and thank you. Checked out and subbed your channel as well. Enjoyed your video about the new Matrix 4 Resurrection movie. Thanks, glad you enjoyed the videos. I capture game footage on the PS5 and edit either on there or on PC, depending on what I want to do or how complex I need to edit. Games all look so good on PS5 and that really helps make things look good.

I wish you luck getting the video-related site going. I know creating a website/blog is difficult enough, but creating videos is a whole other matter, one I’ve no experience with.
